Champlain 400th Anniversary The year 2009 will mark the 400th anniversary of Samuel de Champlain's arrival to the region. Celebrations are being planned in
New York and Vermont and the Richelieu region of Quebec. Look for theatrical performances, heritage festivals, art & craft shows, competitions, symposiums, films, musical
tributes and so much more. There will be literally something for everybody; and all are invited to share in the fun and help commemorate this historic moment. The Inn at
Charlotte is centrally located and the perfect place to stay throughout the year's festivities!
Shelburne, Vermont
The Inn at Charlotte is located just a few minutes down Route 7 from Shelburne, home of three of Vermont's most popular tourist destinations. Part of the scenic Lake
Champlain Valley, Shelburne is home of the Shelburne Museum, one of the nation's finest, most diverse, and
unconventional museums of art and Americana. Nearby is Shelburne Farms, an environmental education center and National Historic Landmark.
Finally, don't forget the famous Vermont Teddy Bear Factory, where factory tours are offered daily.
